For more than 35 years, Darren has worked in and around banking, business lending and commercial finance.

From starting his career with Halifax in 1987, through international financial technology consultancy with Fiserv and more than two decades with NatWest, Darren has seen commercial finance from both sides of the desk.

Today, he brings that experience to BAT Financial Solutions.

Darren began his banking career with Halifax in 1987, progressing to Assistant Manager of its flagship Cornhill branch before moving into international consultancy with Fiserv, where he worked on projects across Ireland, the Netherlands and Poland.

At NatWest, Darren progressed to Head of Regulated Lending for Business Banking, leading oversight across multiple regulated lending areas and working with teams supporting thousands of business customers.

That experience gave him a detailed understanding of how major lenders assess risk, affordability, security and applications.

Drawing on decades of experience across retail banking, business banking and commercial finance, Darren helps businesses secure funding solutions that align with their objectives, circumstances and growth plans.

Known for his integrity, professionalism and client-first approach, he is committed to building long-term relationships based on trust, transparency and sound advice.

Outside BAT, Darren is a longstanding Scout volunteer and District Trustee. His commitment to volunteering reflects the same values of leadership, responsibility and service that underpin his approach to business.
