With more than 35 years in financial services, Darren leads BAT Financial Solutions with a simple philosophy: always do the right thing for the client.
Starting his career with Halifax in 1987, Darren rose to Assistant Manager of its flagship Cornhill branch before moving into international consultancy with Fiserv, working across Ireland, Amsterdam and Poland.
Back in the UK, he joined NatWest as a Business Relationship Manager, specialising in franchise and real estate finance. In 2017, he became Head of Regulated Lending for Business Banking, overseeing areas such as:
Mortgage Conduct of Business (MCOB) compliance
SIPP lending and Green Finance initiatives
Appeals and lending oversight via the Business Hotline Team
Broker onboarding and relationships
Respected for his integrity, leadership and client focus, Darren brings unrivalled expertise to every business he supports.
Outside work, he is a committed Scouting volunteer, serving as Lead Group Volunteer, District Trustee and Cub Scout Leader — continuing his lifelong dedication to service and doing what’s right.
